GRITscore is part of Pro Coach by The Hockey Site. This page explains what the tool stores. It sits alongside the privacy policy of The Hockey Site.

Coaches

We store your email address, your sign-in details, the teams you create and whether your email currently holds an active Pro Coach subscription. To check that, GRITscore asks The Hockey Site's newsletter platform (Beehiiv) about your email address when you sign in and about once a day after that.

Players

Players don't have an account. For each player, the coach enters a name or nickname and, optionally, a group. Each player gets a personal link. We store the answers a player gives about themselves and about the teammates they were asked to rate, plus the coach's ratings.

Only the coach who created the team can see the names, answers and scores. Teammates never see who rated them or how. A player's link only shows their own tasks and the first names of the teammates they are asked to rate.

Many players are under 18. Coaches should use GRITscore only where their club allows it and, where needed, after informing players and parents. Use a first name or nickname rather than a full name.

Keeping and deleting data

Coaches can remove a player, a round or a whole team at any time; the related answers are deleted with it. To delete a coach account, email support@gritscore.app.

Where data lives

The database runs on Supabase in the EU (Ireland). The website is hosted by Hostinger. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies on GRITscore; the only thing stored in your browser is your sign-in session.
